Why do my Email Marketing Club newsletters go into my Deleted Box?: question from, Christina - EMC member
Hi Joan.
I wanted to let you know I'm really enjoying your emails.
However, something I find strange is that all yours emails are being plunked into my Deleted file automatically - something inside them is triggering a spam message. Given you specialize in avoiding spam, I find this rather ironic. I've looked at your emails and honestly don't know what the trigger might be. Very little of my email gets popped into the Deleted file, so I thought you might want to know about this.
I'm glad I've been able to go in and "rescue" the messages from the Deleted file that come from you, as you are providing good and valuable info. Thanks for what you do.
Warmly,
Christina
My reply to Christina,
Thanks for your message Christina.
I don't really specialize in avoiding Spam, I specialize in Email Marketing and use all the tools available to try and avoid getting caught in a filter. There are many reasons why our emails may be ending up in your filter. You might want to try adding the Email Marketing Club newsletter email address to your
WHITE LIST or
YOUR FRIEND LIST or
YOUR UNBLOCKED LIST
You may have blocked our emails by mistake and now the emails just go in the Delete box automatically.
All Spam Filters are a little different. Usually there is a feature to 'add a sender's address' to a friendly/accept list. You will want to look at your specific program and see if that feature is available to you.
All of this could also be caused because of a setting within your network (if you have one), a setting by your ISP (dial up account), or just a 'rule' in your Email Client (Outlook, or whatever you use) that is set too sensitive.
I think if you try the 'add this email address to a friend list' it will fix things. If it doesn't I would guess the email address has been blocked in error. In that case, just unblock the email address.
Thanks for the feedback, I always appreciate hearing from my newsletter subscribers.
Hope you have a really great day,
Joan

The only way to never get your email messages in a Spam Filter is to not send any. If this works for you - great. If it doesn't use the services of a reputable email list management service provider and educate your audience as much as you can.
